Diese Illustration zeigt einen farbenprächtigen Regenbogen, der sich nach einem Regenbogen über eine weite, friedliche Landschaft spannt. Die Sonne bricht durch die Wolken und taucht alles in warmes Licht. Der Regenbogen ist ein uraltes Symbol für Hoffnung, Frieden und den Bund zwischen Gott und den Menschen. In der Bibel (Genesis 9) erinnert der Regenbogen an Gottes Versprechen an Noah: „Meinen Bogen setze ich in die Wolken; der soll das Zeichen sein des Bundes zwischen mir und der Erde.“

Im Religionsunterricht eignet sich das Bild hervorragend, um über Gottes Treue, Verlässlichkeit, Neubeginn und Hoffnung zu sprechen. Es lädt dazu ein, Vertrauen zu fassen – auch nach schwierigen Zeiten – und die Schönheit der Schöpfung bewusst wahrzunehmen.
